I needed a driveway regraded, a retaining wall reconditioned, and my culvert cleaned and reset. I was fortunate to come across Bob Ames Excavating. I can’t say enough great things about Chris Ames and the company. Because I live out of state, I had to coordinate everything by phone. I had to trust Chris with regard to the work that needed to be done, the supplies needed, and the timeframe it needed to be done in. Chris was extraordinarily good at communicating with me every step of the way, by phone, text, and photos. Although the company was busy, he was able to fit me in to their schedule. Chris was on time, under budget, and honest. The work was top notch. Chris met all my expectations and more!

Chris was great throughout the entire process. Working through the layout of the driveway several times with me even after I changed things up a bit and he was always willing to meet me on site to do a physical walk through. Halfway into the project, we encountered another obstacle – a slab of pure rock that ran approximately 265 feet through the job. With Chris’ knowledge, experience, and transparency, we were able to accomplish it beautifully.

Chris maintained open communication throughout the project, provided updates, and worked tirelessly in order to successfully complete the project. He developed and supplied multiple plans throughout the mountainside and up the slope. We settled on the one way we both thought would be the best route for the driveway.
